For some, Clothes are just something you put on to look somewhat presentable in the day to day grind and they often don't think too much on how they are styled. For me though, Fashion is an artform with a wide range of expression and can set the stage for a conversation or make you invisible in the crowd.
My whole life I've been a fan of alternative fashion due to how much expression and how varied the designs where from the generic jeans and top outfit, which there's absolutely nothing wrong with that outfit for those who choose it. For me though its always bored me and left me uninspired. Scene, Punk, Goth, Emo, and the various other alternative fashions such as visual kei, Lolita fashion, and decora; Have always left me with a sense of awe and adoration for their uniqueness. Though my absolute favorite has always been Lolita fashion despite my height, See below for an example of Hime Lolita, my favorite of the Lolita fashion genres.

Hime Lolita is a style of Lolita that focuses on a princess-like appearance that is often OTT. It can look very similar to Classic Lolita, but there are many decorative elements borrowed from Sweet. Though I have seen gothic versions which are stunning. -this photo is from a site that sells lolita fashion: https://www.devilinspired.com/en/
However, before I discovered Lolita fashion, my go to fashion was a darker punk scene hybrid that was heavily toned down due to budget constraints. I was aiming for a more visual kei look, here is an example below:

Visual kei appears to have elements from Punk, Scene and emo fashion. It originated as a style worn by some J-Rock bands.
Truth be told, I do still love this style, though I am trying to move away from darker tones now days and wear brighter colors, especially pastels. Though not quite as eye-catching as decora fashion which is certainly inspired for sure. A feast for the eyes with so much going on i forget its not just the accessories I'm looking at, Jokes aside, this fashion is incredible and varied and I admire how much time they put into each outfit.

Decora fashion is a Japanese youth subculture that originated in Harajuku in the late 1990s. All signs are that it peaked in the mid-2000s. Decora is characterized by brightly colored clothing and accessories. - Japan talk
I bloody adora the pastela and bows from decora fashion. As much as I would love to keep talking about fashion, it is time for me to put a pause on this and get ready for lunch. If you would like me to talk about more fashion i love, I will, and if you have any suggestions, voice them in the comments below. As always, thank you for reading.
